At School of the Incarnation, we believe that education is about more than what a
child knows when he or she leaves us. It is about who that person is becoming.

– Dr. Nancy Baker, Principal

Every day, our teachers are changing the world. They do that by knowing their students, challenging them to grow, and helping them discover and develop the gifts God has given them. Our faculty and staff bring expertise, high expectations, creativity, and a deep commitment to the mission of our school to their work every day. They understand that excellence matters, but that excellence without purpose is not enough. What matters is that the work we do is rooted in our Catholic faith and in a genuine commitment to the formation of each person.

Our mission calls us to recognize Christ Incarnate, His presence among us. We see Christ in every person we encounter. We seek to bring Christ to others, and we work to draw out the gifts that God has given each person. Every child is unique. Our responsibility is to help each one become more fully the person God created them to be.

That formation takes place in many ways. It happens through rigorous academics, faith, the arts, athletics, service, friendship, and the everyday relationships that make a school a community. All of these experiences matter because the formation of a person cannot be reduced to a single measure of achievement.

And we do not do this work alone.

Our parents are essential partners. The strength of School of the Incarnation comes in large part from families who believe in our mission and who understand that the education and formation of a child is a shared responsibility. When school and home are working together, children benefit from a community that is consistent in its expectations, grounded in its values, and invested in who they are becoming.

This is what I value about School of the Incarnation. We are serious about our mission. We are serious about excellence. And we are serious about the responsibility we have been given to form young people who will take what they have been given and do wonderful and amazing things in the world.

In Christ,
