Frequently Asked Questions
What grade levels is School of the Incarnation currently accepting applications for?
We accept applications for all of our available programs, spanning from our part-time preschool classes up through eighth grade. Admissions are subject to classroom capacity, and waitlists are established for full grade levels if space fills up.
What documents are required to complete an application?
To complete the online application process, you must upload your child’s birth certificate and a copy of their most recent report cards or academic transcripts, if applicable. Depending on the grade level, copies of standardized testing records or developmental evaluations may also be required. Our online application system will build a custom checklist based on the specific grade level for which you are applying.
Is there an application fee, and how is it submitted?
Yes, a non-refundable application fee of $115 is required for each new student applying. This fee must be submitted electronically through our online enrollment system at the time you finalize and submit the application form.
What is the application deadline for the upcoming school year?
We process applications across three distinct windows: Early Admissions, Regular Admissions, and Rolling Admissions. While our Early and Regular deadlines occur during the fall and winter months, rolling applications are accepted later in the year only if seats remain available in your child’s grade level. Please click here to view the specific calendar dates and deadlines for the current admissions cycle.
Is there an interview and testing process to apply?
Yes. To ensure proper academic placement, admissions assessments and screenings are part of the application process and tailored by grade level:
Preschool through 1st Grade: Applicants participate in a brief, one-on-one readiness screening.
2nd through 8th Grade: Applicants complete a short electronic academic assessment on a Chromebook, which is structured like an abbreviated standardized test.
5th through 8th Grade: In addition to the academic assessment, applicants participate in a personal meet-and-greet with a member of our school administration team.
Once your application is submitted, our admissions director will contact you directly to schedule your child’s admissions screening.
How will we be notified once an admissions decision has been made?
Once your application is fully processed and all required screenings or assessments are complete, the Principal will make the final determination, and your family will receive an official admissions decision via email. Accepted families will also receive step-by-step instructions to complete the online enrollment process and secure their child’s seat.
