We strive to provide our students with opportunities to become faith-filled future leaders.

Learning to Lead

At School of the Incarnation, leadership is not just a skill. It is a calling. We believe that every student has the potential to lead, and we are committed to providing meaningful opportunities for them to discover and develop that potential. Whether serving at the altar, mentoring a younger student, resolving conflicts among peers, or representing our school in the community, our student leaders learn that true leadership is rooted in faith, humility, and a genuine desire to serve others.

Leadership Opportunities

The opportunities listed below reflect our commitment to developing the whole child, academically, spiritually, and personally, and to sending our graduates into the world equipped to make a difference wherever they go.

Altar Servers

Serving at the altar is one of the most meaningful leadership opportunities available to our students. Altar servers play an important role in our school Masses, helping to lead our community in worship and creating a prayerful environment for all who gather. Through this ministry, students develop a
deeper connection to their faith, grow in responsibility and reverence, and learn the importance of service to others. It is a privilege and an honor that our students take great pride in.

Safety Patrol

Safety Patrol is one of the most visible and valued leadership roles at School of the Incarnation. They assist younger students out of their cars, help keep the carline moving smoothly, and ensure that every member of our community starts and ends their day safely and with a smile. This role requires reliability, responsibility, and a genuine desire to serve others. For the students who take on this responsibility, Safety Patrol is more than just a duty. It is a daily opportunity to lead by example and make a difference in the life of their school community.

Student Ambassadors

Student Ambassadors serve as leaders, volunteers, and advocates for SOTI’s advancement mission, working to enhance the student and faculty experience at School of the Incarnation. Through this program, students develop leadership skills by representing SOTI at school advancement and admissions events, build community connections by helping organize fundraisers and outreach campaigns, and promote student voice by sharing ideas and feedback that directly shape advancement initiatives. Most importantly, Student Ambassadors gain real world experience in written communication, public speaking, teamwork, and event planning, skills that will serve them long after they leave our halls.

Peer Mediators

At School of the Incarnation, we believe that students have a powerful role to play in creating a kind, respectful, and inclusive school community, and our Peer Mediators are proof of that. Peer Mediators serve as trusted resources for their fellow students, helping to navigate disagreements, encourage understanding, and find peaceful solutions to everyday conflicts. They help create an environment where every student feels heard, valued, and supported. For the students who take on this responsibility, peer mediation is a transformative experience that develops communication and leadership skills that will serve them far beyond the walls of our school.

House Leaders

As part of our school-wide House System, middle school students can apply to be house leaders. House Leaders plan and run house meetings, rally their fellow Knights around friendly competition and school spirit, and serve as role models and mentors for students in every grade.

National Junior Honor Society

The National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) is available to our middle school students. Membership in NJHS recognizes students who have demonstrated excellence in the five pillars of scholarship, service, leadership, character, and citizenship. Students are invited to apply for membership based on academic eligibility and are evaluated on their demonstrated commitment to each of the five pillars. Once inducted, members are expected to maintain their academic standing and actively contribute to service projects and school initiatives throughout the year.

Pre-K Helpers

There is something truly special about watching our older students step up to care for our youngest Knights. Our Pre-K Helpers visit the Pre-K classrooms each morning to assist with arrival, helping little ones settle in, get organized, and start their day with confidence and a friendly face. This cherished role gives our older students the opportunity to develop patience, compassion, and nurturing leadership skills while making a meaningful difference in the lives of our newest community members.
