At School of the Incarnation, we are committed to supporting the academic, social and emotional well-being of every student. Through our licensed school counselors, school nurses, and collaborative support systems, we provide the support students need to thrive — both in and out of the classroom.

SOTI Student Support Services

Supporting Mind, Body, and Spirit

Our health and counseling services are enhanced by the faith and values that are woven into the fabric of everything we do. School of the Incarnation also supports student well-being through our campus ministry program, in our classrooms, and in the everyday words and actions of our teachers, coaches, and administrators. Together, our support services and faith-filled community create a school environment where every student feels known, supported, and equipped to succeed.

Counseling Services

Our licensed School Counselors partner closely with teachers, administration, parents, and outside professionals to support the social-emotional health of our students.

On a day to day basis, student support includes:
  • Mental health & wellness lessons and activities (conflict resolution, stress management, identity, social skills support, self-advocacy)
  • Individual and group support
  • Lunch bunches (small group lunch meetings)
  • Advocating for student needs
  • Crisis management and intervention
Faculty/Staff/Administration support includes:
  • Collaborating and consulting with faculty, administration, and families to provide resources to support our students in their social-emotional development.
  • Participating in grade-level meetings.
  • Collaborate to address topics related to school climate and culture.
  • Facilitating professional development training and workshops.
  • Serving as key members of the school Crisis Management Team.

Health Services

School of the Incarnation has a dedicated health suite staffed by one full-time and one part-time nurse. The Health Center is equipped to deal with many of the ailments and minor injuries that are part of school life.

Health Center Support includes:
  • Assessing the severity of illness or injury in students.
  • Distributing medications to student that is provided and approved by their parents and healthcare providers.
  • Caring for students with chronic conditions such as diabetes, epilepsy/seizures, asthma, allergies/anaphylaxis, and others.
  • Ensuring all students are up to date on their vaccinations/immunizations.
  • Screening students for vision, hearing, and other potential health issues.
  • Preventing and controlling the spread of communicable diseases.
  • Connecting students and their families to relevant health resources.
  • Collecting health data in schools to provide to local,state, and national officials.
  • Promotion of overall school community health through education and wellness initiatives.

Learning Support Services

Embracing the Spirit of St. Ignatius, our school’s St. Ignatius Program, comprised of the Student Support Team, Resource Team and the School Counselors, is dedicated to fostering a nurturing and empowering Christ-centered educational environment inspired by the teachings of Saint Ignatius. Grounded in his principles of reflection, discernment, and care for the whole person (cura personalis), our mission is to provide tailored resources and support that enable each student to reach their full God given potential.
